The Plant Physiology R+D+I team grows
September 4, 2004

Our R+D+I (Research, Development and Innovation) team has recently been enlarged with the aim to develop new products related with plant stress.

The latest scientific advances on physiological mechanisms unleashed when plants are under stress have encouraged us to develop specific products to combat specific types of stress.

To achieve the qualitative leap that BIOIBERICA desires, we can count on our R+D+I department - a multi discipline team with five highly qualified professionals.

This team is directed by Rafael Piñol, Dr. in biology, specialized in vegetal physiology, and who had collaborated with BIOIBERIA for many years, first in the Technical Department, and later in the sales area. This new responsibility presents him a great challenge- to face it he has the great advantage of his in-depth knowledge of the national and international markets.

In addition to all this, Rafael is responsible for the relations with the more than 20 universities and research centres worldwide which BIOIBERICA collaborates with.

Núria Sierras, who holds a degree in organic chemistry, is in charge of the research projects and new formulations. Manel Carrión is the R+D technician, in charge of development and industrial implementation of the new products..

Cándido Marín is an agricultural technical engineer, responsible for product development and, therefore, for all agricultural experimentation.

Finally, Anna Botta is a biologist working on long term innovation projects, searching for new lines of research and applied products.
